Mulberry Tree

It's one of my favorite times of year, when our mulberry tree is producing its sweet, plump berries. This year I have vowed not to let any(or many) go to waste. So right before the sun sets I climb up the ladder, surrounding myself with its leaves and pluck away, eating as I go. And always feeling so lucky to have this tree.

I am planning to start a mulberry tree planting project in Southern California. My plan is to plant 10,000 mulberry trees, and if there's time and money to continue, I will.

If you have any ideas, please drop me a line at jockdoubleday.writer@gmail.com

Mulberry trees are quick-growing and in ten years will feed a neighborhood for two weeks in the spring or summer.

Mulberry trees are also pest/drought/cold resistant, and they grow in many types of soil, including "poor" soil. :)

Sincerely,
Jock Doubleday
