IF Theme: Extremes

Acrylic on cardboard (Click on image for a closer view).

Illustration Friday's theme for this week was "Extremes". My painting reflects opposite states of being, both physical and mental. I was trying to show the outside (world) as harsh and cold while the interior is cozy and warm. I think when you are lucky enough to be with the love of your life this is how it plays out, more often than not.

haha! When I first saw it, I thought they were dancing inside a submarine! "We all live in.." Nevermind. :) Sweet concept. I love the bears.

hehehe, it's great! They certainly do look extremely happy with their lives, and with each other. Kind of romantic in a way.

I am one of those lucky ones you speak of and so are you!!

This is the first time I have experienced an explanation of your work in your own words and I must say I love it - the explanation (and the work).

Good on ya (as the love of my life would say).

Now I'm not saying I need the explanation, I just really enjoyed reading your explanation in your own words. Am I confusing the issue now? Oh sorry.

I'm sorry that I did not post sooner, you know how I love it so! and even through maniac dogs and children, it's nice to know there's a calm during the storm where two people in love are warm and invincible.
