Courting the birds

After doing a hack job when pruning our pepper bush a few months ago, I decided it would make such a nice bird perch. I think I'd be happy to raise a bird family here.
We have the peanut buttered pine cone sprinkled with bird seed, a grapefruit/lemon bird seed holder and my favorite, a little mesh wrap full of dryer lint and thread scraps for helping them make a cozier nest (we found this idea in a book).

The birdhouse looks even better when it's actually making it's debut in the real world! I can't wait to see what bird family gets first dibbs on that cozy 1 bedroom.
